Alexandrina Council Library at Goolwa has branches in Strathalbyn, Port Elliot, Milang and Mount Compass. Goolwa and Strathalbyn have a children's section with 'Baby Bounce & Rhyme' and 'Stories & Crafts for Children' programs as well as Playstations and Wii. They also have a History room and newspaper reading area. Internet access is available at Goolwa, Milang and Strathalbyn.

'gj sound’ are a local duo based at Currency Creek, featuring the talents of gez and Julie; multi-instrumentalists who perform original music along with an extensive covers list. Our style is diverse and upbeat, employing a variety of instruments to give each song a unique feel. We’re seeking to raise awareness of local musicians within the South Coast district, and appropriate to the values of the Southern Alexandrina Business Association encourage local venues to employ our services for events and functions.
